Trailer Hitch Installation in Royersford, PA
Our qualified technicians install several types of hitches and wire harnesses to safely connect the taillights, turn signals and brake lights. Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch are just a few of the hitch manufacturers that we use.
Each hitch is custom designed for your vehicle and installed with care and attention to detail.
Some of the hitch installation steps that may be required are as follows:
Cleaning the weldnuts; this is important as the underbelly of the vehicle is exposed to the elements and the weldnuts could have rust on them. Cleaning them will ensure proper threading of the trailer hitch bolts.
A hitch receiver installation may require hardware to be fishwired through existing holes in the vehicle frame.
To ensure a tight fit against the vehicle, some hitch installations require the vehicle’s exhaust system to be temporarily lowered.
One of questions that we are asked most is “Will having a hitch installed, void my vehicle warranty”. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act passed by Congress in 1975, ensures that customers can have aftermarket parts installed without fear of voiding the warranty. However, the aftermarket part must be properly installed.
Call Wes Jackson Automotive for more information on hitch installations, we will be happy to answer any questions.
